The city commission meets at 7:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Mondays in every month with the exception of December in 2021.
Beginning in March of 2020, following the closing of city hall due to the COVID19 pandemic, meetings began to be held remotely. Pursuant to Public Acts 228 and 254 of 2020 and procedures established by the city commission, meetings will be held monthly through March of 2021.
The 2021 city commission regular meeting schedule is as follows:

May 10 and 24
June 14 and 28
July 12 and 26
August 9 and 23
September 13 and 27
October 11 and 25
November 8 and 22
December 6* and 20*
*Moved to the first and third Mondays to accommodate the holiday interruptions while allow for a two-week interval of meeting dates.
Special city commission meetings are scheduled as required. These meetings can be scheduled at different days, times and locations than the regular meetings. Special meetings scheduled for the 2021 are:
