Final Construction Project Update

This will be the last project update of 2019.

This will be the final E-Blast for the 2019 construction season as most projects are substantially complete at this time. Several streets still require punch list and restoration work, which will be completed this Fall or delayed until Spring, depending on weather conditions. If you have questions regarding remaining work on your street, you can contact the Engineering Division at 248.246.3260.

The Engineering Division will resume project updates when construction for the 2020 season begins.

CAP1910 Water Main Improvements

Contractor: FDM Contracting Inc.

All project streets are substantially complete except E. Harrison Avenue and Normandy Road east of Coolidge Highway. Minor punch list and restoration work remains on the other project streets. This may be delayed until Spring, depending on weather conditions.

The week of November 11th the contractor plans to prep and pave E. Harrison Avenue. Only the areas disturbed for water main installation on the south side will be paved due to weather constraints, and the rest of the roadway will be reconstructed in the Spring.

Water main connections on Normandy Road will occur throughout the week. Residents affected by any water shut-offs will be notified the day beforehand via door hanger.

This project is substantially complete. Some minor paint striping remains which should be completed in the next two weeks. Construction signage pickup has been requested. Cleanup work is ongoing along with restoration. Some restoration may be delayed until Spring depending on weather.
