Construction Project Updates

Residents on affected streets were mailed construction notices in the Spring with detailed information on the project.

The city realizes construction will be an inconvenience and all efforts to expedite the work will be utilized to minimize traffic conflicts and access to various properties abutting the project. If you have questions you can contact the Engineering Division at 248.246.3260.

CAP1908/09 14 Mile Road Resurfacing Improvements

Greenfield Road to Crooks Road

SOCWA Contractor: Verdeterre Contracting, Inc.

City Contractor: Pamar Enterprises, Inc

SOCWA's contractor has finished working on their portion of the water main project.

The city's contractor will finish pavement restoration the week of June 24th and begin working on landscape restoration.

CAP1935 Road Reconstruction Improvements

Contractor: FDM Contracting Inc.

The week of June 24th, the city's contractor will finish pavement on the north side of Nakota and begin working on the south side.

The contractor also plans to begin preparing Massoit for pavement.

On W. Houstonia the contractor will continue with concrete restoration work, including curbing and driveway approaches, on the north side of the roadway.

No work is scheduled for the other project streets the week of June 24th.

CAP1905 Concrete Pavement Repairs

Contractor: Galui Construction Inc.

The contractor plans to continue pavement work on the project streets west of the railroad and the streets south of Normandy the week of June 24th.

If driveway access will be affected, residents will receive a notice via door hanger the day beforehand. The contractor will only work on one side of the street at a time, to maintain access for residents.

CAP1915 Asphalt Resurfacing

Contractor: AJAX Paving Industries Inc

The week of June 24th, the contractor plans to finish all the concrete work on all project streets. The contractor tentatively plans to adjust drainage structures and mill the roadway surface of the remaining project streets, weather permitting, towards the end of the week.

CAP1910 Water Main Improvements

Contractor: FDM Contracting Inc.

The week of June 24th, the contractor plans to continue water main installation on Normandy Road west of Coolidge Hwy.

On Rockingham the contractor plans to finish pavement restoration and cleanup.

On Albert Ave, the contractor tentatively plans to connect the new water main at Harvard. Residents will be notified the day beforehand via door hanger if they will be affected by any required water shut-offs.

On Judson Ave, the contractor tentatively plans to work on pavement restoration, towards the end of the week, weather permitting.

No work is scheduled for the other project streets the week of June 24th.
