Greenfield Road to Crooks Road
SOCWA Contractor: Verdeterre Contracting, Inc.
City Contractor: Pamar Enterprises, Inc
This project includes work in conjunction with the South Oakland County Water Authority, Michigan Department of Transportation and the Road Commission for Oakland County.
14 Mile Road will be under construction for most of the 2019 construction season, with traffic often limited to one lane in each direction. Motorists are encouraged to find alternate routes during construction, especially during rush hour. For more information regarding the complete scope of the project, visit: www.romi.gov/14Mile
The city's contractor will continue working near Cooper and Elmwood, excavating and installing new water main, the week of April 15th.
SOCWA's contractor will continue construction on their water main, primarily working to the east of the rail road bridge.
The current lane closures will remain, with the below restrictions:
- 14 Mile Road traffic is shifted to the north side lanes of the CN railroad bridge with one lane of travel open in each direction
- NO LEFT TURNS are allowed onto southbound Coolidge from westbound 14 Mile Road
- North Coolidge Highway is reduced to one right turn lane and one left turn lane for traffic heading south onto 14 Mile Road
