CAP2007 Gardenia Avenue Improvements

East of Main Street to Campbell Road

Contractor: AJAX Paving Industries, Inc.

The city has closed Gardenia Avenue to thru-traffic and is prohibiting side street traffic from entering Gardenia between Main Street and Campbell Road as shown on the map below.

The contractor plans to pave the mainline on Friday October 12th and plans to pave all the intersection approaches on either Saturday or Monday (weather dependent). The contractor will be installing a layer of white pavement fabric between the bottom and top layers of asphalt to help prevent pavement cracking and to extend the pavement life.
 
The lane lines are scheduled to be painted during the week of October 15th and the road will be open to traffic after the painting is completed.

CAP1806 S. Campbell Road Resurfacing

10 Mile Road to 11 Mile Road

Contractor: Iafrate Construction Company

The west half of S. Campbell Road is closed for second phase of construction, and traffic is currently shifted to the east side of the road. One lane is open in each direction. The following left turns are not allowed during this phase of construction:

• Northbound and southbound Campbell Road at 11 Mile Road
• Eastbound Lincoln Avenue at S. Campbell Road
• Northbound and southbound Campbell Road at Lincoln Avenue

In addition to these restricted turns, intermittent side street closures will be in place. Starting October 15th, the contractor plans to begin placing concrete patches between Lincoln Avenue and E. Fourth Street. The contractor also plans to begin grading all areas north of E. Fourth Street.
 
South of Lincoln, an electrical crew will be placing underground conduit for the pedestrian signal between Dallas Avenue and Brockton Avenue. Also, a sewer crew will be installing storm sewer and topsoil stripping later in the week.

CAP1505 Concrete Street Repairs

Contractor: Galui Construction Company, Inc.

The contractor is planning to pour the remaining second halves of all streets remaining on the project within the next two weeks. The contractor is working to back-fill and place seed in disturbed lawn areas on the streets previously poured. The project is scheduled to be complete by the end of October.
