Construction Project Updates

The city realizes construction will be an inconvenience and all efforts to expedite the work will be utilized to minimize traffic conflicts and access to various properties abutting the project. If you have questions you can contact the Engineering Division at 248.246.3260.

CAP1806 S. Campbell Road Resurfacing

10 Mile Road to 11 Mile Road

Contractor: Iafrate Construction Company

The east half of S. Campbell Road will remain closed for several weeks during the first phase of construction, and traffic is currently shifted to the west side of the road.  One lane is open in each direction.  The following left turns are not allowed during this phase of construction:

• Northbound and southbound Campbell Road at 11 Mile Road.
• Northbound and southbound Campbell Road at Lincoln Avenue.
• Westbound Lincoln Avenue at S. Campbell Road.

The contractor will be installing the new curbing along the east side of the road between 10 Mile and Lincoln throughout the week of July 2nd, likely after the July 4th holiday.   Residents on the east side of the road will receive 24-hour notice via a door hanger when their driveway will no longer be accessible for vehicles.  During pouring operations there may be greater delays for traffic traveling on S. Campbell Road.

CAP1808 N. Main Street Resurfacing

11 Mile Road to Gardenia Avenue

Contractor: Pro-Line Asphalt Paving Corp.

Traffic is currently shifted to the west side of N. Main Street, with one lane open in each direction.  Left turns are prohibited at Catalpa/Gardenia and at 11 Mile Road for vehicles traveling north and south.

The contractor has completed all curbing and sidewalk work and plans to mill the roadway starting on July 2nd.  There will be no work July 4th through July 8th. 

CAP1815 Asphalt Resurfacing Improvements

Contractor: AJAX Paving Industries, Inc.

The project is divided into three phases:

Phases 1 & 2: The contractor is still working to complete restoration on these streets.
 
Phase 3: The contractor will be adjusting structures throughout the week of July 2nd.  Paving is tentatively scheduled to begin on July 9th, weather permitting.  Residents will be able to access their driveways, but there will be delays for access during paving operations.

CAP1835 Road Reconstruction Improvements

Contractor: Hard Rock Concrete, Inc.

Woodland Avenue - Webster Road to Glenwood Road

The contractor plans to back-fill and level the greenbelt areas during the week of July 2nd. 

Bonnie View Drive - Lloyd Avenue to Northwood Boulevard

Work on this street is complete except for restoration.

Yorba Linda Boulevard - Fairlawn Avenue to Springer Avenue

The road is scheduled to be fully open to traffic by the end of day on Monday July 2nd. The contractor plans to replace concrete at the southeast corner of Fairmont Avenue in the next couple weeks.

Parkway Drive - Normandy Road to Woodward Avenue

Linwood Avenue - Webster Road to Glenwood Road

On Monday July 2nd, weather permitting, the contractor will begin paving the road. Due to the weather forecast of higher temperatures, the paving will begin at 6:00 a.m. to take advantage of the cooler morning for the concrete pour.  The road will remain closed for one week after concrete is placed to allow for curing. Driveway approaches will be placed once the road pavement has cured. Please do not move barricades or drive on new concrete until the barricades are removed by the contractor.

Garbage and recycling: Garbage trucks will not be able to access the street on Monday July 2nd and July 9th. If desired, residents may drop off garbage and recycling receptacles at the corners of Webster or Glenwood before 7:00 a.m. and pick them up later in the day. The city recommends that residents have their address markings on all trash and recycling containers.

Delaware Avenue - E. Kenilworth Avenue to E. Harrison Avenue

CAP1505 Concrete Street Repairs

Contractor: Galui Construction Company, Inc.

The contractor has started saw-cutting the project streets.  Pavement removals and concrete pavement placement are scheduled for the week of July 16th.  

CAP1822 Non-Motorized Improvements

Contractor: Warren Contractors & Development, Inc.

The contractor will be dropping off barrels on S. Washington Avenue and will be performing saw-cutting in the center turn lane of S. Washington Avenue during the week of July 2nd.  The contractor plans to begin demolition work for pedestrian islands in the middle of the road on S. Washington and N. Main Street during the week of July 9th.
