Construction Project Updates

The city realizes construction will be an inconvenience and all efforts to expedite the work will be utilized to minimize traffic conflicts and access to various properties abutting the project. If you have questions you can contact the Engineering Division at 248.246.3260.

CAP1806 S. Campbell Road Resurfacing

10 Mile Road to 11 Mile Road

Contractor: Iafrate Construction Company

The east half of S. Campbell Road will remain closed for several weeks during the first phase of construction, and traffic is currently shifted to the west side of the road.  One lane is open in each direction.  The following left turns are not allowed during this phase of construction:

• Northbound and southbound Campbell Road at 11 Mile Road.
• Northbound and southbound Campbell Road at Lincoln Avenue.
• Westbound Lincoln Avenue at S. Campbell Road.

The contractor will finish removing the existing curbing and some areas of deteriorated pavement on the east half of the road.  The contractor tentatively plans to begin pouring concrete later during the week of June 25th.  Residents on the east side of the road will receive 24-hour notice via a door hanger when their driveway will no longer be accessible for vehicles.

CAP1808 N. Main Street Resurfacing

11 Mile Road to Gardenia Avenue

Contractor: Pro-Line Asphalt Paving Corp.

Traffic is currently shifted to the west side of N. Main Street, with one lane open in each direction.  Left turns are prohibited at Catalpa/Gardenia and at 11 Mile Road for vehicles traveling north and south.

The contractor plans to replace all curbing and sidewalk early during the week of June 25th.  The east half of the roadway pavement is scheduled to be milled later in the week. 

CAP1815 Asphalt Resurfacing Improvements

Contractor: AJAX Paving Industries, Inc.

The project is divided into three phases:

Phase 1: Paving is complete. The landscaping contractor has sprayed weed killer in the restoration areas and plans to return during the week of June 25th to seed.
 
Phase 2: The streets are now paved, and the contractor is placing topsoil and seed for restoration of the greenbelt/lawn.  We expect completion by the middle of next week.
 
Phase 3: The contractor plans to finish removing and replacing curbing on Cherokee during the week of June 25th.  The contractor will begin milling the asphalt roads starting on June 26th on Hudson Avenue.  Milling all the Phase 3 streets is expected to take two to three days. 

CAP1835 Road Reconstruction Improvements

Contractor: Hard Rock Concrete, Inc.

Woodland Avenue - Webster Road to Glenwood Road

The intersection of Glenwood and Woodland is planned to be open by the end of the day June 22nd.  The contractor plans to back-fill and level the greenbelt areas during the week of June 25th and to place the handicap ramps at the intersection of Glenwood.  The contractor is also required to replace the handicap ramps at Webster and the adjacent road panels.  Placement of sod will not occur until after Labor Day in order to ensure growth.

Bonnie View Drive - Lloyd Avenue to Northwood Boulevard

Work on this street is complete.

Yorba Linda Boulevard - Fairlawn Avenue to Springer Avenue

The contractor has paved the north/east half of the road, and this section will remain closed until late next week while the concrete cures.  The contractor plans to install the remaining driveway approaches on the south/west edge of the road during the week of June 25th, and also the remaining concrete area at the cul-de-sac.

Parkway Drive - Normandy Road to Woodward Avenue

Linwood Avenue - Webster Road to Glenwood Road

The contractor plans to finish pavement removals on the west side of Linwood Avenue and will begin removals on the east half during the week of June 25th.  Residents will receive a door hanger a day in advance when their driveway will no longer be available.  Residents will likely be out of their driveways for 2 to 3 weeks while the contractor prepares and paves the road.

Delaware Avenue - E. Kenilworth Avenue to E. Harrison Avenue

CAP1505 Concrete Street Repairs

Contractor: Galui Construction Company, Inc.

The contractor has started saw-cutting the project streets.  Pavement removals and concrete pavement placement are scheduled for the week of July 16th.  

CAP1822 Non-Motorized Improvements

Contractor: Warren Contractors & Development, Inc.

This project is tentatively scheduled to start later during the week of June 25th.
