Completed Streets

Many city projects are substantially complete, except for restoration. Several contractors have begun restoration and will continue throughout the month.

CAP1735 Road Reconstruction Improvements

Contractor: Mark Anthony Contracting, Inc.

Batavia Avenue

The contractor plans to replace the remaining halves of concrete road base in areas where utility work was performed towards the end of the week of September 18th. Short sections of the road may be closed to allow for this work but access from the cross streets will be available for residents. Once the remaining concrete road base is placed and cured, the contractor will install the hot mix asphalt for the roadway, likely during the week of September 25th.

Dallas Avenue

The newly paved section between Lenox and Stephenson will remain closed for most of the week while the concrete cures. The contractor plans to pour the remaining concrete returns at Lenox and Stephenson at the end of the week.

Lockwood Avenue

The contractor plans to install storm sewer and prepare the road for paving during the week of September 18th. The roadway is tentatively scheduled to be paved the following week.

CAP1630 Special Assessment Paving Improvements

Contractor: Mark Anthony Contracting, Inc.

Public Alley - 14 Mile Road to Rochester Road (behind businesses)

The work in the parking lot was pushed back by the contractor. At this time, the contractor plans for the work to be performed in the beginning of October.

Orchard Grove Drive

The newly paved section between Hilldale and the railroad will remain closed for most of the week while the concrete cures. Driveways and sidewalk work are tentatively scheduled for the week of September 25th.

CAP1505 Concrete Street Repairs

Contractor: Galui Construction Co., Inc.

The contractor plans to return to the city later this month to work on Hickory, Marais and Galpin Avenue.

CAP1702 Sidewalk Improvement Program

Contractor: Italia Concrete Construction, Inc.
