Improving Royal Oak

CAP1715 Asphalt Resurfacing Improvements

The contractor is scheduled to begin work for this project on Monday April 17th. They will begin placing traffic control barrels and signs this Friday. The project will be grouped into four different phases as follows:

CAP1715 Phases

The contractor will begin removing and replacing sections of curb on Phase 1 streets starting next week. The contractor will also be digging to verify the location and depths of gas services for all phases next week. Please do not remove stakes placed by the contractor to identify your gas services.

CAP1630 Special Assessment Paving Improvements

This project includes the paving of several gravel roads, and improvements in two city alleys. The contractor will begin work on this project the week of April 17th, starting with water main work on S. Edison Avenue.  The contractor will install the new water main under 11 Mile Road by boring under the roadway.  This will require a traffic shift on 11 Mile Road, with at least one lane of traffic open in each direction.

Later next week, the contractor will also begin grading work for the paving of Wrenford Road, between Arlington Drive and Seminole Drive.

CAP1535 Sherman Drive Construction

All water main and storm sewer work is now complete.  The contractor will continue to prepare for paving between 11 Mile Road and N. West Street, and anticipates placing concrete for this short block early next week.

The contractor will also continue grading the roadway from Forestdale to the east as shown in Phase 1 on the map below.  The green areas will be closed to traffic.
