CAP1535 Sherman Drive Construction

The contractor will continue installing water main on the north side of Sherman Drive from Josephine Avenue to the east the week of April 3rd.  There will also be minor sewer improvements at various locations along Sherman Drive.  The road will be open to local traffic, though some areas will only have one through lane available.
 
The contractor will also begin pavement removals and grading for "Phase I" of the project as shown below in green. It is recommended that those sections of Sherman Drive be avoided when possible due to the narrow roadway and heavy equipment being used.

CAP1710 Water Main Improvements

Bellaire Avenue, Ferris Avenue, N. Vermont Avenue, Rochester Road

The contractor is currently working to install water main pipe on N. Vermont Avenue from Donald Avenue to 14 Mile Road.

The new water main on Ferris Avenue will be connected to the existing water main at several locations throughout the week of April 3rd. The contractor will also connect the new water main and perform water service connections on Bellaire Avenue.  Properties that will be without water during the connection will be notified via door hanger the day beforehand. Shutdowns are typically 4 to 8 hours long.

CAP1505 Concrete Street Repairs

The city's consultant is continuing to mark the limits of pavement removal on streets within Sections 9, 16, 17 and 21 of the city.  The contractor will begin saw-cutting the pavement in mid-April, and pavement removal is scheduled to begin in May.  Work will start at the south end of the city and move north.

Please note - there are several days with precipitation in the forecast for next week. Construction activities will likely be delayed by the rain.
