Whatever your reason for the season, we hope it’s meaningful and filled with joy, peace, and togetherness. Please note our holiday schedule for city services and office closures. 

  • Recycling/Trash Collection: ONE DAY DELAY for Wednesday through Friday curbside collection days for both the Christmas Day (Dec. 25) and New Year's Day (Jan.1) holidays.
  • Downtown Parking:  On-street and surface lot parking is FREE on Tuesday & Wednesday, Dec. 24-25 and Tuesday & Wednesday, Dec. 31-Jan. 1; Structures are free on Christmas Day (Dec. 25) and New Year's Day (Jan. 1) ONLY. Structures are FREE after 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve (Dec. 24) and all day on Christmas Day (Dec. 25) and New Year's Eve (Jan. 1). Normal rates and hours apply on New Year's Eve (Dec. 31).
  • City Facilities: CLOSED Tuesday & Wednesday, Dec. 24-25 and Tuesday & Wednesday, Dec. 31-Jan. 1

We've Updated Our Agenda Format in Royal Oak

Stay informed about City of Royal Oak meetings by visiting romi.gov/agendas. You can download agendas and meeting materials in either HTML or PDF format.

Accessing Older Records:  Find past agendas and minutes in the Agendas and Minutes Archive, including official City Commission minutes dating back to Royal Oak’s incorporation in 1891.

Notifications: We are working to make sure you continue to receive notifications for new agendas from the commissions, boards, and committees you are subscribed to during this transition.
