Lighting of the Park

Mark your calendars for Lighting of the Park on Tuesday, Nov. 21, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Centennial Commons!

What’s Happening:

  • Ice-skating at The Rink
  • Unique shopping at the Holiday Huts featuring local downtown Royal Oak businesses
  • Visits with Santa 
  • Carnival rides, food trucks, and live music
  • And the grand lighting of Centennial Commons, including the Giant Oak Tree!

Lighting Ceremony Highlights:

The main event, held on the steps of the Royal Oak Public Library, 222 E 11 Mile Rd, will feature:

  • Performances by local musicians and school groups 
  • A special appearance by Santa himself 
  • A dazzling skating performance by Team USA members 
  • The debut of the Beacon of Light Awards

If you live south of 12 Mile Road, the crews are in your neck of the woods next week. Be prepared.
