City Commission Meets Monday

The Royal Oak Veterans Events Committee will host its annual Ruck 22 March on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 10 a.m. at Centennial Commons, corner of Third and Troy Streets, Royal Oak.

What to Put in Your Ruck or Packback

The Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 154 will be preparing Thanksgiving baskets for Veterans in need. The items on the list below are a priority. Many are inexpensive and light in weight and are perfect for carrying in your ruck or backpack!

Stuffing mixes
Cranberries
Canned green beans, corn, or other canned vegetables
Instant mashed potatoes
Gravy mix
A family-size box of macaroni and cheese
Grocery store gift cards (to help with the purchase of perishable items)

Leave Collection Update

As of Friday, Nov. 8, crews were about a half-day behind. If your scheduled leaf collection day is Friday, Nov. 8, crews will be in your neighborhood working on Friday and on Saturday, Nov. 9. By Monday, Nov. 11, all sections should be fully caught up!

What you need to know!

If you live north of 12 Mile Road, the crews are in your neck of the woods next week. Be prepared.
