2024 Construction Projects Map

Use the map above to see if a project is affecting your street. The city realizes construction will be an inconvenience and all efforts to expedite the work will be utilized to minimize traffic conflicts and access to various properties abutting the project.

Notices of Construction have been mailed to affected residents and copies are available online here.

CAP2407 Crooks Road

This week the contractor will continue concrete work along the east side of Crooks between 13 Mile Road and Main Street. They will be replacing curbing, approaches and some sidewalk. 

CAP2416/2415 Asphalt Resurfacing

This project will resurface several streets in the residential neighborhoods and the downtown.

All Phases have now been paved. Road striping is scheduled for this week on all required streets.

On Phase 5 streets, landscaping and irrigation repairs will continue this week.

CAP2435 Road Reconstruction


On Massoit, the contractor will work on sidewalks and driveway approaches, and the remaining concrete work at the Hampton intersection. Work was delayed from last week due to inclement weather.

On Vinsetta, no work planned for this week.

On Marais, the contractor will be preparing the roadway for the new chicane installations on the west side of street and some road panel replacement. Marais will temporarily be changed to only allow ONE WAY traffic until construction is complete. Marais will be open for Northbound traffic only.  

On Glenwood, the contractor plans to repair some of the road base and prep the roadway for new concrete pavement, weather permitting.

On Hillside, the contractor will be starting work this week on pavement removals once the signage and barricade setup is complete.

 *As part of this project the contractor will also be installing traffic calming chicanes on Marais Avenue between Thistle and Lexington as approved by the city commission.

CAP2405 Concrete Street Repairs

This project will replace some of the worst panels on the project streets shown in light blue on the project map linked above.

Phase 1, 2 3 and 4 streets are now complete.

Merrill Ave - the contractor is pouring the second halves of the speed humps.

For Phase 5 streets, the contractor will be working on the remaining second halves.

First halves / Second halves - The contractor will work on one side of the street at a time to maintain access for residents during construction.

CAP2410 Water Main Improvements

The contractor has completed water main installation on Northwood and the new water main will continue to undergo testing this week.

Water main installation will continue this week on Sycamore.  (delayed from last weeks rain)

CAP2440 Green Infrastructure Improvements

Sheridan Drive - Arden Place - Grandview Road

The contractor will start later in the week with water main connections and water services.  If residents will be affected by a shut-off, they will be notified in advance with the date, time and duration.

CAP2402 Sidewalk Program

The sidewalk work is complete.  This week the contractor will be working on landscape restoration and punch list items.
