2024 Construction Projects Map

Use the map above to see if a project is affecting your street. The city realizes construction will be an inconvenience and all efforts to expedite the work will be utilized to minimize traffic conflicts and access to various properties abutting the project.

Notices of Construction have been mailed to affected residents and copies are available online here.

CAP2407 Crooks Road

This week the contractor will be grading the roadway between Royal and Webster, and between Vinsetta and Lloyd.  Then begin pavement removals working from 13 Mile south, along the East side of Crooks to Main Street. Royal Ave at Crooks will be temporarily closed while the contractor works on grading.

CAP2416/2415 Asphalt Resurfacing

This project will resurface several streets in the residential neighborhoods and the downtown.

Phase 1: Complete.

Phase 2, 3 & 4: Irrigation and landscape restoration will continue this week.

Phase 5: The contractor will be doing concrete repair on Irving, then pouring concrete around all the structures that were raised last week. Once this is complete and the concrete has cured, the final layer of paving will be scheduled for the week of July 8th.

CAP2435 Road Reconstruction

The forecast of inclement weather this week may delay some of the work.

For completed streets: The contractor will be working on joint sealing and landscape restoration.

On Massoit, the contractor plans to pave this week, tentatively scheduled for Wednesday.

On Vinsetta, no work this week due to holiday.

On Marais, the contractor plans to begin working on pavement removals beginning the week of July 8th.

On Glenwood, concrete removals to begin on Tuesday.

 *As part of this project the contractor will also be installing traffic calming chicanes on Marais Avenue between Thistle and Lexington as approved by the city commission.

CAP2405 Concrete Street Repairs

This project will replace some of the worst panels on the project streets shown in light blue on the project map linked above.

Phase 1, 2 and 3 streets are now complete.

For Phase 4 streets, the contractor will be working on second halves this week, pouring the new concrete. 

For Phase 5 streets, the contractor will be working on removals for second halves.

First halves / Second halves - The contractor will work on one side of the street at a time to maintain access for residents during construction.

CAP2410 Water Main Improvements

Water main installation will continue working east, heading towards Crooks on the westbound side of the roadway. As the contractor moves east block to block, that block will be temporarily closed to traffic during work hours to allow for equipment and operations, and re-opened at the end of each work day.

The contractor will begin installing some new fire hydrants along the corridor, and extend the connection lines to all the side streets.

The contractor tentatively plans to begin watermain installation on Sycamore the week of July 8th. 

CAP2440 Green Infrastructure Improvements

Sheridan Drive - Arden Place - Grandview Road

The contractor will do minimal work this week due to the upcoming holiday.

CAP2402 Sidewalk Program

The sidewalk work is mostly complete.  This week the contractor will be working on landscape restoration and punch list items.
