Holiday Cardboard Recycle Program

The Department of Public Services has made it possible for residents to drop off oversized cardboard in a designated holiday recycling dumpster located in the parking lot of the M/M Senior Community Center, 3500 Marais.

Cardboard only, please. Other recyclable materials should go into your recyclable cart and be placed curbside on your regular collection day.

Carriage Rides in Downtown Royal Oak

Every Friday through Dec 22 | 5 PM to 9 PM | 400 E 11 Mile Rd

Carriage rides depart from the Community Holiday Tree, which is located adjacent to the 44th District Court Building. From there, patrons will enjoy a short trip taking in all of the splendor of Downtown Royal Oak's S. Main Street and Civic Center area. Running every 30 minutes. Residential Lock Boxes Available at the Fire Department

The Royal Oak Fire Department’s residential lockbox program is designed to get quick access to adults living in their own homes during medical emergencies -- especially senior citizens. When every second counts, the lockbox -- which contains a key to your home -- reduces the likelihood of property damage caused by first responders forcing entry into your home in response to an emergency call.
