I-75 Freeway & Bridge Work


The following locations are closed this summer for reconstruction as part of the freeway project:

  • 12 Mile Road is closed at I-75
  • Lincoln Ave bridge

The Gardenia Avenue bridge has now been re-opened to traffic!

Questions or concerns regarding the bridge and freeway work should be sent to Oakland Corridor Partners who are overseeing Segment 3 of the construction for MDOT.

CAP2109 S Main Street and E Lincoln Avenue Resurfacing

Contractor: AJAX Paving Industries, Inc.


S. Main Street - Lincoln to 11 Mile
E. Lincoln Avenue - Knowles to Campbell

The contractor completed the final paving last week and the mainline lane striping. This week the contractor will be working on landscape restoration, once complete they will finish the remaining crosswalk and lane striping work.

CAP2215 Asphalt Resurfacing

Contractor: Hutch Paving, Inc.


LANDSCAPE/LAWN RESTORATION: Lawn restoration is being delayed until end of August for more favorable temperatures for seeding.

Phase 1

Landscape restoration that didn't take or has not been completed will be delayed until Labor Day for more favorable weather.

Phase 2
For Delemere, the contractor plans to continue the new pavement striping this week. Landscape restoration to follow.

Phase 3
Troy, University, Fairgrove, Pingree and Alexander - Asphalt milling was completed last week. The contractor will be working on manhole and road base repairs this week. Troy and the west block of University is tentatively scheduled to receive the first layer of asphalt later in the week, with the remaining streets to follow next week.


Amelia - The contractor plans to install the first layer of asphalt on the block between Rochester and Blair mid-week. On the block between Blair and Campbell, the contractor is working on curbing and driveway approaches on the norths ide of the roadway, starting Tuesday.

Connecticut - The contractor will continue removal & replacement of concrete curbing and driveways this week.

Temporary 'No Parking' signs will be placed where room for construction equipment is needed.

CAP2110 Northwood Viaduct Pavement Replacement

Contractor: FDM Contracting, Inc.


The city's contractor is continuing prep work for road restoration this week.

NORTHWOOD ROAD CLOSURE: Northwood will be completely closed to traffic at the viaduct. The closure will remain in place for several weeks while crews perform construction work. "Road Closed Ahead" signs will be placed along Northwood beginning at Woodward Ave to the west and Crooks Road to the east. However, residents may still see cut-thru traffic in their neighborhood due to the closure.

CAP2205 Concrete Street Repairs

Contractor: Audia Concrete Construction, Inc.


Each street will have repairs done in halves, to maintain access for residents throughout construction. Temporary 'No Parking' signs will be placed where room for equipment is needed.

In the neighborhood between 11 Mile and Catalpa, the contractor has begun work on the 2nd halves of each block.

The contractor has started work on the 1st halves in the neighborhood between Catalpa and 12 Mile Road.

Consumers Energy Neighborhood Grid Projects
