I-75 Freeway & Bridge Work


The following locations are closed this summer for reconstruction as part of the freeway project:

  • 12 Mile Road is closed at I-75
  • Gardenia Ave bridge
  • Lincoln Ave bridge

Questions or concerns regarding the bridge and freeway work should be sent to Oakland Corridor Partners who are overseeing Segment 3 of the construction for MDOT.

CAP2109 S Main Street and E Lincoln Avenue Resurfacing

Contractor: AJAX Paving Industries, Inc.


S. Main Street - Lincoln to 11 Mile

Work begins this week on Main Street. The contractor will be mobilizing equipment and materials to the site this week and installing traffic control devices to shift the traffic and reduce the travel lanes to one lane in each direction. The outer lanes will be closed first, and the contractor will begin saw-cutting the road pavement in preparation for removals.

Curbing removals and catch basin work will begin next week.

E. Lincoln Avenue - Knowles to Campbell
Work on Lincoln Avenue is tentatively scheduled to begin in May. Construction notices have been mailed and you can view the plans at www.romi.gov/roadwork

CAP2215 Asphalt Resurfacing

Contractor: Hutch Paving, Inc.


Phase 1

Work on Phase 1 streets begins this week. The contractor will be mobilizing equipment to the project streets and begin checking where underground utilities are located. The contractor may begin saw-cutting the pavement in preparation for removals. Concrete work is currently scheduled to start next week. This schedule is currently tentative due to incoming inclement weather.

The contractor will work on one side of the street at a time to maintain access for residents during construction. Temporary 'No Parking' signs will be placed where room for equipment is needed.
