Below is a quick summary of work done this past week on the 2 grid projects, ROK1 & ROK2. The map below shows the location of those 2 projects, but not necessarily the phase (or area) of current work.

Consumers Project Map

Both projects have been affected by reduced work crew sizes (due to Covid-19, training, and other absences) which has slowed productivity some. Consumers is continuing to manage through these challenges in order to maintain our goal to complete the projects before year end. Restoration is also slowed due to employee attrition & Covid-19 absence.

ROK1:

  • This past week crews worked along Grandview, Sheridan, Arden, Greenfield, Berkshire, Mankato, and Seminole streets.
  • Consumers is near completion of phase 6. The bulk of work is in the phase 1 area.
  • Next week Consumers plan to continue work along Greenfield, Buckingham, Mandalay, Fulton, Seminole, and Berskhire streets.
  • Although adjustments to Consumers' traffic control plan along Greenfield have been made with some slight improvement, they will continue to monitor this situation.
ROK2:
  • This past week crews worked along Main, Marais, Webster, Poplar, Evergreen, Cloverdale, and Maxwell streets.
  • Consumers is completing restoration work on phases 7 & 1 and installations in phase 5 & 1.
  • Next week crews will be on Main, Hickory, Evergreen, Maxwell, Maple, Woodsboro, Cedar Hill, Butternut and Greenleaf streets.
Work Schedule:
  • In June Consumers will work 12 hour days for the first week only. After that they will return to 10 hour days Monday through Thursday, 8 hour days on Fridays and voluntary 8 hour days on Saturdays.
  • Below are the planned start/finish dates for each grid project:
Consumers Project Schedule

While working on weekends Consumers crews will be conscious of disruptions our presence may have and will be engaged in creative ways to minimize noise and other impacts to the residences.

Please note that construction schedules are tentative, and may change based on weather delays, subcontractors or substantial field modifications. These updates are based on the information currently available.
